On Arrival drive Bandhavgarh, once the private hunting reserve of the Royal family of Rewa, is named after and ancient fort on 800 meter high cliffs. However the park does boast one of the highest density tiger populations. It is ​also home to at least 22 mammal species and 250 bird species.
